Bais Design is rooted in the exploration of balance and contrast, working across interior design, spatial planning, and curation to create refined, highly considered environments for our clients. Led by Gemma Soriano, Interior Design Director, the Melbourne-based studio draws on over a decade of experience delivering high-end apartments, private residences, hotels, and hospitality spaces. Informed by an Italian heritage and a belief that design is an emotive experience, Gemma’s work places equal importance on atmosphere and form - creating spaces intended to be felt as much as they are seen.

ABOUT BAIS DESIGN

Bais Design is led by Interior Designer Gemma Soriano and Studio Manager Carmine Soriano; a father–daughter partnership grounded in creativity, trust, and a shared appreciation for beautifully considered spaces.
Together, they bring a unique balance of design intuition and practical expertise. Gemma leads the creative direction of the studio, shaping each project through a refined approach to materiality, proportion, and atmosphere. Her work is driven by a belief that interiors should feel timeless, deeply personal, and effortlessly resolved.

Carmine brings decades of experience in construction and project delivery, ensuring every design is not only visually compelling but also grounded in precision and buildability. His involvement provides a seamless connection between concept and execution, allowing each project to be carried through with clarity and confidence.

This collaboration forms the foundation of Bais Design - a studio where design and delivery are intrinsically linked.
